Hi, I’m Lauren Smith — founder of Smith Social, self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, and someone who truly believes our lives are measured in moments.

 

After planning my own wedding in 2025, something clicked. I wasn’t just obsessed with the details or the aesthetic — I was moved by the emotion. The anticipation. The way a single day can hold so much meaning. My friends and family kept saying, “You have a talent for this.” And as someone with a professional background in social media and visual storytelling, I thought, why not give this a go!

 

Born and raised in Southern California, I’ve always found beauty in joy — golden hour light, ocean air, cotton candy sunsets, the way people look at each other when they think no one is watching. What inspires me most in life is people. I romanticize the in-between moments because those are the ones that stay with us. 

 

Every wedding is special in its own right. No two couples are the same. No two love stories unfold the same way. That’s why I love this industry so deeply. I don’t just capture wedding days — I help couples relive them. I help preserve the feeling. And there is nothing more fulfilling than delivering a piece of content that brings someone right back to a moment that felt sacred.
